I have spent my life enjoying the beauty that is the West side of Michigan's coast line. It is so rich in color, texture, and depth.

This day, in St. Joseph, had all the glimpses of that beauty. It was simply gorgeous. Muriel + Ronald were such a picture of beauty and commitment and ultimately, I loved how excited they were just to be together. A HUGE affair complete with 20 bridesmaids and groomsmen, a ceremony on the beach, and a family so in love with one another, that one could only describe it as "blessed."

On an informative side note: what I recognized as a "dollar dance" was actually a really cool Philippine tradition that symbolizes prosperity... you'll see clips of it in this highlight film. It was really fun to watch. :)

Mindy and I LOVED these two. Chelsea + Jeff were so "natural" and SO fun. A real joy to work for.

I love Ann Arbor in the first place; primarily for it's school's history and architecture... HOWEVER, this day, I got to see a more "modern" side of A2. We shot a portion of the day at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business which was so full of bright clean lines that I was in "awesome angle" overload. It was a real joy. The photography team of Kurt and Jarvie scoped the place out and it made some some awesome shots.

It is days like this that make our job all worth it. A fun couple + true natural affection + a great setting = a good shoot. We feel blessed.

a wonderful wonderful couple in a wonderful wonderful setting on a wonderful wonderful day.

Ashley + Blake were such a great couple to work for. Mindy and I felt incredibly lucky to be asked by them to shoot on this day. It was such a great chance to connect with downtown Detroit, her architecture, her vibrant soul, and her wonderful history.

A chance to work for friends is always a blessing. There is a wonderful sense of pride and enjoyment that goes into being able to give, what we see, as a wonderful gift... a "keepsake" memory of your special day.
I met Brian when he was a high school student. His brother and I went to college together, and I had the joy of seeing him grow up, mature, and be the man who stood before family and friends on this day and commit his life to his wonderful new bride, Lisa. What a pleasure for us to be a part of this day.
These two are perfect for each other... for no other reason than they choose to be. Mindy and I are excited to see them "do life together."
